A Letter from CPF Program Director, Khaled Jayrasa

Dear School Principals,

The Children of Peace Foundation was established nearly five years ago to help children in the Holy Land who have been traumatized by the conflict there. Having lived most of my life in that region, I know how difficult it is to face the many challenges that this ongoing conflict brings.

Several years ago, I volunteered at the Holy Child Program in Bethlehem, working with children who were deeply impacted by tensions within their families and the region. While there, I became aware of the great need to sustain this school, and to expand its work so that peace through healing could be realized.

The CPF is committed to helping fund the operations of the Bethlehem Holy Child Program, and to build a center in the Holy Land where counseling, professional training and education can take place for the benefit of the families there. It is our hope that this center would attract professionals from around the world who are dedicated to finding the most effective means of healing the wounds brought about by trauma and conflict. Additionally, a facility such as this would become a community center where families of diverse religious or cultural backgrounds can move past their differences and find common ground in the love and concern they have for their children.

It is my hope that you will be inspired by the work of The Children of Peace Foundation, and join us in this sacred mission.

Peace,

Khaled Jayrasa
